KAB Seating Pty Ltd Achieves AS4801 certification by SAI-Global

April 3, 2013 – We are proud to announce that CVG's (Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc) KAB Seating Australia has achieved AS4801 nationwide.

The business has been working towards developing a safety system to meet the safety standard AS4801. We have received certification to AS4801 by SAI-Global which incorporates the following branches:

This certification verifies that KAB seating operates an occupational health and safety management system which complies with the requirements of AS/NZS 4801:2001.

“There are numerous advantages of having a certified safety system in the business, the main one being that we provide a safe workplace for employees and others, but also that we can quote for work where certification to a safety system is a pre requisite” said Peter Mouy, Quality Manager.

The scope of the certificate includes the sales, supply and assembly, repair and installation of performance seating for commercial vehicles and office applications.

The accreditation also includes the Stratos seating site for the manufacture of seating. Stratos Seating was acquired by the Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc (CVG), registered in Australia under the name KAB Seating Pty Ltd, close to 2 years ago.  Stratos Seating specialises in the manufacture and supply of seating for the Australian military, light truck, four wheel drive and specialty markets.

The CVG/KAB/Stratos Quality Management System will be externally audited on an annual basis to ensure that the required standards are maintained.
