International R & D

KAB Seating is part of the CVG Global Construction division and conducts its research and development (R&D) of seating products in the UK at our factory in Northampton.

Here the Advanced Engineering Team work on new seating concepts and new product introduction programmes.

The team uses 3D CAD design facilities to create and prove innovative seating solutions in a simulated condition before prototype samples are made and physical tests are conducted. This considerably speeds up the process of new product introduction.

The team works in close liaison with the CVG R&D teams located in Columbus, Ohio in the USA and product testing can also be done in-house at these locations.
